sophieintroSophie the Parisian is a blog that reflects the lifestyle of a dynamic, working girl from Paris, showing off her free, curious, elegant, and modern personality. Culture, fashion, and events, all in a stylish setting! The protagonist Sophie is a Parisian from head to toe, who knows Paris and its way of life like the back if her hand. Her blog is a "French style" encyclopedia: fashion, gastronomy, culture... it brings a contemporary look at broader topics such as education, health, and nutrition through interviews of renowned specialists.

Visit Paris in the company of Sophie the Parisian and ten of her avatar friends, who each have their own specialty on the blog: Béatrice (cooking), Brigitte (social circle), Catherine (guide), Cécile (health & beauty), Chantal (children), Charlotte (fashion), Isabelle (spot light), Marion and Nicole (interior & design), and Maxime (culture). They are all experts in their sector.

These characters came to life under the pen of Nathalie Peigney, the soul of the blog and the creator of the Sophie the Parisian concept. Marketing consultant, journalist, and ex-fashion designer, she is guaranteed editorial quality. #sophietheparisian

Being Parisian? It’s feeling the mad energy that makes Paris so vibrant; it’s soaking up the culture in every corner of the city; and it’s the people you meet here. Parisianness means elegance and a certain lifestyle. It means keeping your smile, despite the Parisian reputation for being so bad-tempered. It also means travelling a lot, although you would never think of living anywhere else!

From early childhood on, our parents tried to instill the importance of vegetables as they’re full of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and help us stay slim and in shape… In short, not always very amusing. However, the Parisian is able to render things trendy and chic, even vegetables! Here’s one of my favorite recipes that my friends in Paris are fighting over right now:

Luxury is today a major actor in the French economy, the creator of wealth, added value and supplier of foreign currencies. However, in reality, the real force of Luxury has been to maintain against all obstacles, in the twentieth century, period of excessive automation and robotics, conservatories of craftsmanship, thereby giving priority to the individual over the group. The nobility of Luxury becomes evident to all those in contact with it, because it’s impossible to remain insensitive to the beauty of the skills of the craftsman…

The mystery of stilettos revealed… Scientists have observed that stiletto heels accentuate the movement of a woman’s hips, while shortening their stride...

My friend Anne Lipscomb loves Paris and comes once a year for her pleasure but she also realised wonderful videos about the parisian woman, her art of life and her style. « I treasured the vibrant art and the cultural life of Paris, its fabulous food and café culture, and the beauty of its architecture and parks ». I would like to present you Anne and her last video « French women don’t get fat and now I don’t either. Or French Women Don’t Get Fat and Now I Don’t Either»…
